Has your Windows computer become slow? Does it show up error messages which persist even after you have run the usual anti-spyware and anti-virus software? If most of the usual methods of trying to fix your PC are not working, then your PC probably has a corrupt system registry that needs to be fixed.

But first of all, a brief explanation of what a registry is and what does it do is in order. The Windows registry is basically a centralized database that is used to store all the important data regarding user profiles, their individualized settings, program settings and other hardware and software configurations. Every time a new user profile is created or a new program installed, a file or a set of files regarding that is created in the registry. These files are called registry keys. There are five main registry keys, each with many more subkeys. The five registry keys are: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, HKEY_CURRENT_USER, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE ,HKEY_USERS,and HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG.

Invalid or corrupt registry keys can cause the following problems: frequent error messages, system crashes and freezes, slow performance and the most dreaded error message – the blue screen. The error messages are a result of Windows being unable to find certain files it needs to operate and when it is unable to get them, it displays those messages. But when important registry files are unavailable to Windows, this results in system freezes and less frequently a system crash. A slow bootup happens because the registry is cluttered or corrupt. It is during the bootup time that Windows uses the registry the most. This is because it needs access to all the startup programs, including anti-virus software, firewall and most importantly the operating system itself. The more invalid and corrupt registry keys a system has, the longer it takes for Windows to find and use all the necessary registry keys. In cases of system crash, which happens when there’s a fatal error, all the processes stop working and the blue screen appears.

You can fix the registry by tweaking it on your own, and Microsoft has several pages on this on its website. In fact, Windows comes with a tool called the Microsoft Registry Editor (regedit.exe) which enables you to look up, search for and change the settings to your system registry. But Microsoft itself warns on its website that using this tool is not recommended because making incorrect modifications can damage your computer even more. According to Microsoft, this tool is to be used under the guidance of a IT professional. So this means, most users will have to rely on something else to clean up and correct their registry.

There are several commercially available registry cleaners that you can use to repair your registry. But before doing that it is a good idea to create a backup registry file. To create a backup copy:
1.Click the Start button and type in “regedit.exe” in the Start Search box.
2.You will see five main registry keys.
3.Click on the File menu and then choose Export.
4.Select the location for your backup copy and give the copy a name.
5.Hit Save.
Now comes the hard part. Just type in “registry cleaner” in Google and you will see lots of websites selling registry cleaners. Most of them have similar names, similar looking websites and all of them have a free scan tool to help you gauge how many invalid and corrupt registry keys do you have on your computer. But not all registry cleaners are the same. Several software publishers create registry cleaners that are basically useless. They will show you a high amount of registry errors to make their product look good. If your computer is running normally, then a registry cleaner which shows a high amount of errors is not a genuine product. Because of this kind of unscrupulous software publishers there are some IT professionals who have come to the conclusion that registry cleaners are unnecessary. Then there are the fake registry cleaners that are actually trojans for spyware, malware and adware.

There are reputable registry cleaners such as RegGenie who have an excellent rating from the BBB. The company also has a McAfee SECURE logo, which stands for the fact that the website undergoes a daily security scan by McAfee. This registry cleaner even comes with several extra features including the following:
1.Registry Backup – A standard feature so that you do not have to worry about creating backups.
2.Registry Defrag – A feature that lets you check whether the system registry really does need to be cleansed.
3.Performance Review – This shows how many invalid and corrupt files were found and how many the application was able to fix.
4.Windows Startup Manager – This feature allows you to select which programs Windows should run when you boot your computer.
5.Auto Scan – This creates automated backups and scans the registry on a scheduled time.

Has your PC slowed downed? Are you getting strange error messages saying things like “Dll error”, user profiles not loading, programs not starting, or the worst of all – the blue screen. If you have got one or more of the above errors in spite of doing disk defrag and running all the anti-virus and anti-spyware utilities, then you need to clean up your system registry. Most people do this using a registry cleaner.

The system registry is one of the most crucial parts of the Windows operating system. It has been designed as a central hierarchical database where information regarding all the system’s hardware, installed programs, user profiles and their individualized settings are kept. Windows is constantly referring to this database to function properly.

Your computer can function at optimal speed and efficiency only when it receives regular maintenance. Cleaning the system registry is one of the most important but ignored part of computer maintenance.

The registry itself is made up of five keys. And each key has further subkeys. The five main registry keys are: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, HKEY_CURRENT_USER, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, HKEY_USERS, and HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG.

When you add and delete user profiles, or install and uninstall various programs, this creates empty registry keys. Not shutting down the computer properly can also result in invalid registry keys.

You can modify and delete the registry on your own manually. But even Microsoft recommends that this is to be done only if you are an advanced user who is sure about the function of all the keys. This is because if the wrong key is deleted or modified then it can result in the very same kind of errors that you have been trying to fix. In fact, it can result in the profile becoming completely corrupted or the computer losing all data. So creating a backup copy of the system registry is a good idea before modifying it. You can either save the whole registry or save just the individual keys. To create a backup copy:
1.Click the Start button. Then type “regedit.exe” in the Start Search box and click on it.
2.You will see the five main keys.
3.Click on the File menu and then click on Export.
4.Select the location where you want the backup copy to be saved and then give the copy a name.
5.Click Save.

Another way to create a backup copy is simply to make use of the user-friendly System Restore feature available in Windows Vista and Windows 7. With this feature you can simply restore your computer to the state it was in before you made changes to the registry.

Now comes the hard part. How do you choose the right kind of registry cleaner? There are several registry cleaners on the market with websites that look almost the same. Each of them urges you to download their free scan tool which will tell you how many invalid and corrupted keys your system registry contains. Then it will keep urging you to buy their product.

The problem with this is that there are several unscrupulous software publishers who have registry cleaners that barely work. They also exaggerate the number of errors that your registry has or just do not offer enough features to justify the price.

Some of the websites will even tell you how many errors your computer has even without you downloading their scan tool. These websites are just outright frauds. A real scan tool will have to be downloaded and the .EXE file has to be installed on the system for the tool to do an analysis of the system.

There are registry cleaners that cannot differentiate between the severity of errors and will show a very high number of registry errors. This is again done to scare the user into buying the product or keep buying its updates.

There are also registry cleaners who are actually spyware, malware and trojans. The best way to avoid this kind of products is to download registry cleaner from reliable websites. One example of this is to download it from reputed software forums and websites. But if you want to buy it directly from the publisher’s website check to see if the website has a good BBB rating. Another logo which a good website will have is the McAfee SECURE logo. This logo means that the website has passed McAffe’s daily intensive security scan. Reputed companies like RegGenie even offer a 60 day satisfaction guarantee.

Most of the common computer errors are caused by invalid and corrupt keys in the system registry. The errors include the computer not being able to load user profiles and software applications not opening. If your computer is giving out various error messages like “Dll error” or the infamous blue screen then your computer’s registry has been corrupted.

The system registry is one of the most important utilities of a computer but most often ignored by users until its too late. The registry is basically a database that stores all the important information related to the system’s hardware, installed programs, settings and every profile created on the computer. Windows has to constantly refer to this registry to function properly. Doing a disk defrag or a disk cleanup is not going to solve the problem of registry errors. To handle that, you need to have a registry cleaner or do registry editing on your own.

But you should be doing registry editing only if you are an advanced user and understand the function of all the main registry keys. Deleting and modifying registry keys without knowing their function can result in user profiles being corrupted, programs not functioning and even total loss of data. So Microsoft recommends that no matter what method you use to do registry cleaning, you should first always create a registry backup. This allows you to go back to the earlier version of the system registry in case your new version turns out to be even more problematic.

First of all, you need to be logged in as an administrator to perform registry backup. If you are not, then you can only make changes to your user account. The registry backup can be created on a folder on the hard disk or on a USB stick. The Microsoft Registry Editor can help you view, search and change settings in your system registry. The registry backup steps are as follows:
1.Click the Start button. Then type “regedit.exe” in the Start Search box and click on it.
2.You will see five main keys: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, HKEY_CURRENT_USER, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, HKEY_USERS, HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG. All the keys have several subkeys.
3.Click on the File menu and then click on Export.
4.Select the location where you want the backup copy to be saved and then give the copy a name.
5.Click Save.

You can select the entire registry or just specific keys or subkeys that you are planning to modify. However, selecting each key adds to the size of the backup copy. It’s also a good idea to create a restore point using the System Restore feature. The restore point will have all the information on the registry and you can also use that to undo the changes that you made to your system.

The five main keys described above have the following functions:
1.HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT (HKCR): This key keeps information on file types and extensions, URL protocol prefixes and registered classes.
2.HKEY_CURRENT_USER (HKCU): This key keeps configuration information related to the user profiles.
3.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE (HKLM): One of the most important keys, as this one has all the configuration information on your system’s hardware and software.
4.HKEY_USERS (HKU): This key keeps user information used by HKCU to display current user information. One of its keys, the .DEFAULT key is the template using which new user profiles are created.
5.HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG (HKCC): This key has all the software and hardware information related to the current system user.

For users who are not IT professionals and don’t want to risk losing all their data playing around with their registry settings, there are several registry cleaners available on the market. A Google search will show you that almost every one of the software publishers selling registry cleaners offers a free scan. But there are several of them that are useless and some are outright spyware and trojans. If a website tells you that it has found a large number of invalid and corrupt registry keys without you downloading a executable file (.EXE) and running it, it is most definitely a scam. And downloading just any free scan tool can itself result in your computer being loaded with spyware or adware.

Most software publishers will also have testimonials and positive reviews. But very few companies will have a BBB rating or a McAfee SECURE logo. If the BBB rating is high, preferably in the “A” category it is proof of the fact that the company and its product are both trustworthy. The McAfee SECURE logo on a website means that the website is secure from phishing and does not link to untrustworthy sites. This is because the website has passed McAffe’s daily intensive security scan. RegGenie is one of the few registry cleaners to meet all these criteria. In addition, whether you are choosing RegGenie or any other registry cleaner, check to see if they are offering useful features such as the following:
1.Registry Backup – A good registry cleaner will offer this function as a standard feature.
2.Registry Defrag – The registry cleaner should be able to tell you whether the registry needs a cleanup and be able to do it.
3.Performance Review – Show you how many errors it has found and whether they have been fixed or not.
4.Windows Startup Manager – Makes it easier for you to select which programs Windows runs when you start your computer.
5.Auto Scan – This feature will help you with automated backups and also scans of the registry on a scheduled time.

Out of the common but easily avoidable computer problems, none is more frustrating and time consuming than multiple registry errors. Your computer’s system registry is the central hierarchical database used by the operating system to store all the information necessary to configure the computer for one or multiple users, applications and hardware devices. The registry is composed of various registry keys which hold all the information about how specific parts of Windows relates to one another. The registry also handles how they look and function.

Most people don’t even realize that their computer is facing multiple registry errors until the computer becomes practically useless. Common signs of your system registry becoming corrupted are - multiple user profiles not loading properly and applications not opening. But the most horrifying of all registry errors is the blue screen of death. The other common registry error is the “Dll error”. This happens when an application is unable to access the .dll file which is vital to run the executable files of that particular application.

If you have never used a registry cleaner before or tried to modify your registry on your own, then the odds are that your computer needs to have its registry cleaned up. The reasons for registry problems are that over time unnecessary programs, spyware, malware, adware, viruses and trojans get deeply embedded in the registry. These types of registry files are very hard to remove and are also the most damaging in terms of data confidentially.

This is in addition to deleted user profiles and uninstalled programs that take up space in the registry. They then damage and corrupt the registry. Incorrectly shutting down your computer can also result in damage to the registry. If left unchecked this registry errors can make your computer completely inoperable and also lose your data.
The registry is made up of five root keys. They are:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT (HKCR): This key keeps information on file types and extensions, URL protocol prefixes and registered classes.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER (HKCU): This key keeps configuration information related to the user profiles.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE (HKLM): One of the most important keys, as this one has all the configuration information on your system’s hardware and software.
HKEY_USERS (HKU): This key keeps user information used by HKCU to display current user information. One of its keys, the .DEFAULT key is the template using which new user profiles are created.
HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG (HKCC): This key has all the software and hardware information related to the current system user.

To keep your system registry in good shape you can check your registry files manually and Microsoft does have an extensive Knowledge Base for those who are interested in doing this on their own. However, even the Windows Help section recommends that changes to the registry are not to be made manually. The registry editor available in Windows is also recommended only for advanced users. So for the non-techie crowd the best option is to buy a registry cleaner.

There are various registry cleaners easily available on the web, several of them even free. But choosing the right registry cleaner is important too. First of all, a good registry cleaner is unlikely to be free. If it is, it will only be for a limited time. A good registry cleaner will also not automatically install itself on your computer. And even the free scan tool available on most of the registry cleaners has to be installed and the executable file given permission to run a scan on your computer. So if the website claims to have found lots of errors on your computer without you doing any of the above, then you can be sure that its a scam website.

When you are comparing registry cleaners, also look for what other features they all offer. First of all, a registry cleaner should be capable of deleting empty registry keys and invalid registry keys. Then it should also offer other features such as the ones listed below:
Registry Backup – Microsoft highly recommends that no matter how you edit or clean your registry, you should always have a registry backup. This way you can go back to your previous settings if you are not satisfied with the new settings.
Registry Defrag – Your registry cleaner should be able to tell you whether the registry needs a cleanup or not. This feature also re-organizes the registry’s internal structure resulting in more efficient performance on the part of the computer.
Performance Review – Lets you see how many errors it has found and whether or not they have been fixed.
Windows Startup Manager – Lets you select which programs Windows runs when you start your computer. This will help save your computer’s processor and memory, resulting in a faster and more efficient computer.
Auto Scan – An auto scan which backups and scans the registry on a scheduled time.

Now a number of websites selling registry cleaners and other software products will claim to have these features. These websites will even have a number of testimonials and other glowing reviews from users on their sites or other software forums. But two really reliable measures of such companies are their BBB rating and the McAfee SECURE logo. A high BBB rating is assurance of the fact that the company and its product is indeed trustworthy and not some scam. A McAfee SECURE logo on the website means that the website has passed McAffe’s daily intensive security scan. The site is secure from phishing, links to untrustworthy sites and various other web dangers.

If your PC is getting a bit slow these days and you are thinking of upgrading to a new one feeling you have no choice, then don’t. Although it is true that today’s applications and websites are more resource intensive than ever, it doesn’t mean that a three year old PC is now obsolete. The reason most PCs seem slow overtime is because of all the spyware, malware, adware they gather. This is in addition to the unnecessary programs that keep running in the background and hog your PC’s resources.

Most people are familiar with these terms and have anti-virus and anti-spyware software installed. They even use the Disk Defragmenter and Disk Cleanup utilities that are inbuilt in Windows. But another key application that most computer users fail to appreciate is the registry cleaner. It doesn’t matter which version of Windows you are using – XP, Vista or 7, eventually you are going to need a registry cleaner to improve your computer’s performance.

Registry cleaners are used to remove configuration data from Windows computers that is unnecessary or unwanted. As the name implies, the software utility is used on the system registry. The system registry is the database where all the important hardware information is stored, along with installed programs’ settings. It also stores the profiles of every user account on the computer. This system registry is used constantly by Windows. The registry also has several other uses which basically help in keeping track of all the software that you have installed and how the programs relate to one another. The registry maintains different profiles so that multiple users can use the same computer and have their personalized accounts with the familiar settings of Start menu, desktop wallpapers and so on.

Several tech blogs will talk about how you can clean up your registry on your own without buying any software. But unless you are a techie who knows what he is doing, making changes to the registry manually can damage your system even more. Unless you are sure about the purpose of each file and whether or not it is corrupt, don’t attempt to modify your registry. If you end up deleting the wrong file by mistake, you can lose valuable information. Your computer won’t be able to function properly and can even become completely inoperable since the critical system files are unavailable to it.

That’s why it is better to spend a few dollars and buy the right kind of a registry cleaner. A Google search will reveal several registry cleaners, but which one can you trust? Here price is not necessarily an indicator of performance. Several registry cleaner websites will throw up a pop-up window saying things like “Click here for an automated scan”. As a rule of thumb, these type of sites are selling scareware. Scareware is the term used for fraudulent registry cleaners and the companies who make them scare people into buying their products by alarmist messages.

So if you are checking out a registry cleaner product and the website says things like (in bold usually) “CRITICAL ERROR” or “45 FILES DAMAGED AND CORRUPTED” (any made up number), just close that site. A reputable registry cleaner will never indulge in this type of advertising. These are deceptive hooks to get people to buy their products which are at best mediocre or sometimes outright scams. These websites will install spyware and adware programs. A good registry cleaner will offer a free scan and the scan will start only when you download and install that website’s free scan software. It will also not be free, or if it is free, it will only be free for a few days. The maxim, “there is no free lunch” is especially true for software.

A good quality registry cleaner will be able to remove not just empty entries, but also invalid entries. Some of the registries available for free are able to remove only the empty entries, but those entries are not what causes your computer to slow down or become unstable. Invalid entries are what a good registry cleaner should be able to remove.

The two other things to look out for in a registry cleaner are its user interface and functionality. The user interface should be easy to use and the help section, whether inbuilt or online should have a clear explanation of all the features. Much more important is the functionality. Some registry cleaners only show you what registry files are corrupt and need to be deleted. But a good registry cleaner will enable you to go deep in your system registry and modify it.

System registry backup is also a very useful feature to have. Windows recommends that whether you are editing the system registry manually or with a registry cleaner, you should have a full backup of the registry. This will help you restore your computer to its original state in case you feel that your computer has lost some functionality after using a registry cleaner.

To find out a good quality registry cleaner, you can check out the various software review forums. But don’t just believe what you read on any forum or review site. The comments on those sites may not be genuine comments. One of the best ways to learn about the quality of a registry cleaner or any other software product is to check out the company’s BBB rating. A company with a great product is not going to hide its BBB rating and some like RegGenie even advertise this fact on their website.

There are so many registry cleaners out there that you need to be sure you have the best tool possible for your PC. This is important because it means that getting a good tool will allow your computer to run at its best. The problem is that there are so many registry tools out there, that picking the best one can be tricky unless you know what you’re doing.

To get the best registry cleaner for Windows 7, you first need to understand what these tools do. All registry cleaners are designed to do the same job, but only a few of these tools will do that job well on 7. The job of a registry cleaner is to scan through the core folders of Windows and fix any damaged or erroneous settings that are inside there. Registry cleaners work like a “detox” to flush out any of the errors or damaged files that Windows has, allowing it to speed up and run faster.

Unfortunately, many registry cleaners are not very good at their job because they are poorly designed. Most cleaners are designed by amateur coders in their garage and do not have the power or efficiency to find many problems on your PC.

Registry tools only speed up your PC and stop many errors if they can fix the most problems that your PC has. You need a cleaner that can fix the highest number of errors and the largest variety of errors as well. And this can normally be identified by looking at the number of registry error categories that a cleaner can fix. Most of the leading tools can fix 10-15 different registry errors, allowing them to make your PC as smooth and reliable as possible.

Because Windows 7 is so new, you also need a cleaner which is kept up to date. As I mentioned, many cleaners are developed by amateur coders, which makes them unable to find many of the latest problems. You need a tool that can find and remove all of the latest errors that Windows 7 will have, otherwise you could end up ruining your PC. Many of the ‘registry cleaner horror stories’ are all down to people who have used poor quality cleaners on Windows 7 and those cleaners have deleted many of the new files this system has, causing it to be unable to boot up and run quickly. You need to be sure your cleaner is up-to-date and that can be seen from the company who produces the cleaner.

When looking for a Windows 7 registry tool, you need to be sure that your cleaner of choice is going to be able to fix the most registry issues that are inside this system, in the safest and most reliable way. You should look for any recommendations that people have for cleaners that have worked for them, and then download the demos of their recommended cleaners to see how they work.. All the best tools will give you a demo and will scan your PC for errors – if you get a tool which finds 300+ errors, then you should use it.

We have just upgraded to Windows 7 and have upgraded our choice of registry cleaner as well. We now use a tool called “RegCure” because it’s one of the most updated and effective for this system. The best Windows 7 registry cleaner, to us, is RegCure because of its ability to find the most registry errors on this system and fix them all for you. This gives you the ability to make your PC faster and more reliable easily.

You can pick the Best Windows 7 Registry Cleaner by looking at the various different tools that are out there and then making a choice based on recommendations. You can make a good choice by looking at reviews of registry cleaners to find out which tool is the best.

Getting a registry cleaner that works well on Windows 7 is a very popular topic that many people are looking for online. However, there seem to be so many websites which proclaim that ‘their’ registry cleaner is the most effective for this system that you need to be 100% sure about which one is going to help you the most. Fortunately, we’ve found an easy way to find a good Windows 7 registry cleaner – by looking out for 2 distinct features…

How Many Errors It Finds

Here’s a fact not many people know – most registry cleaners out there are only designed to locate & remove ‘empty registry keys’. This is what many of the most popular cleaners do and is highly ineffective. Empty registry keys do not cause any damage to your PC. They don’t slow your system down and don’t cause errors – they are just temporary files which Windows uses to store settings inside. The top registry cleaners are the ones which can locate and fix ‘invalid registry keys’, which are the ones that have been saved in the wrong way & are corrupt.

You need to use a registry cleaner tool that finds and fixes the largest variety and the largest number of genuine registry errors. Most tools cannot do that because they are just programmed to find empty registry keys. A good way to see if a cleaner can find the most registry issues is to look at the amount of errors it can find. The best cleaners can typically find 10-15 registry errors, making them the most effective for Windows 7.

Up To Date

Windows 7 is a brand new operating system, which means that it has a variety of new registry errors which are going to be causing problems. It’s therefore vital that you are able to use a cleaner that has been kept up-to-date and is able to find the new problems that are inside the Windows 7 registry. Unfortunately, most registry tools have been developed by single coders who do not have the time or knowledge to keep their tools updated… which makes them unable to fix any of the latest problems that are on your system.

The best Windows 7 registry cleaner is the one that’s going to be kept up to date by its developer. From using many of these tools, we’ve found that only about 4 cleaners are actually kept as updated as they should be – making it vital that you choose the right one for your PC.

These two factors are the most important in identifying the best registry cleaner for Windows 7, but there are some others you need to look out for as well. Typically, it’s advised that you should look for a tool that has a backup facility (to protect your PC from any accidental damage) and any other beneficial features. To find a good registry cleaner, you should first look online to find any recommendations and then use the demo of the tool that takes your eye. The demo will show you how many errors are on your PC.

We’ve used pretty much all of the registry cleaners that have been released in the last 2 years and the best Windows 7 registry tool that we used was one called “RegCure”. This has been designed by a large development company who have taken the time to continually update the cleaner with every update that Microsoft has issued for Windows 7. The tool has been able to remove the most problems on our test computers and has a backup facility to protect your PC from any damage.

From our experience, the Best Windows 7 Registry Cleaner is a tool called RegCure

Vista might be getting older, but millions of people are still relying on it to power their computers every day. However, if you want to speed up your Vista PC or stop errors on it, then you'll have probably heard that a 'registry cleaner' could do what you need.

As time goes by, and many Vista PCs become less and less reliably, a lot of people are trying to find a registry cleaner that’s going to help improve the performance of their system. Registry tools are often proclaimed as being able to speed up your system and stop errors. Although many people shunt this claim, the truth is that not all registry cleaners can do this. Only a handful of registry cleaners can boost the performance of Vista, and it’s vital that you use one of those.

The problem with many registry cleaners is that since their job is quite complex, many of the tools out there are unable to clean out your system in the way that people promise. All registry cleaners work in the same way – which is to scan through the ‘registry’ inside Windows and remove any of the damaged registry entries that are in there.

Registry entries are settings that your computer stores inside the registry database, allowing your computer to remember various different details about your PC. However, Windows is prone to corrupting these settings, making it very difficult for Windows to read them when it wants, slowing it down and causing a large number of errors. Registry cleaners are meant to fix these problems by correcting any of the damaged registry entries…

Unfortunately, many registry utilities are not able to do their job very well on Vista, for several reasons. The main problem with most registry tools is that they are only designed by amateur coders, who only have the knowledge to make the cleaner remove just empty registry entries. These cleaners are no use at all, because they do not fix any of the real issues that affect Vista. Most problems are caused by invalid registry entries, and the best cleaners should be able to find all these invalid entries inside your system.

The other problem that many registry tools have on Vista is a simple incompatibility. These tools scan through the database and remove any of the settings that Windows might have inside there. However, the database is full of new and updated entries that only up-to-date cleaners can recognize. Many Vista registry cleaners are not actually designed for Vista, and end up trying to remove many ‘healthy’ registry settings, which makes your PC unable to run very well at all.

The best registry repair for Vista is the one which is updated enough to find & remove all the issues that your PC has, as well as being able to remove invalid registry entries. Typically, these features are defined by the company that produces the software and the amount of registry categories that the cleaner can scan through. The best Vista registry cleaner will be developed by a large development company and will be able to scan through 15+ types of registry error.

We have been using registry cleaners since 2006, and have found that one called “RegCure” works the best on Windows Vista. RegCure is a popular tool and has been designed to be as effective as possible for your computer, by scanning through 11 different registry errors. It’s also updated regularly by its development company, Pareto Logic, making it effective for Vista. RegCure was able to find and fix the most errors on our Vista test PCs.

From our experience, the best Vista registry cleaner is a tool called RegCure

There are many software companies offering registry cleaners to use on your computer. However, it’s important that you are able to use the tools that are going to help your PC in the best possible way. We’ve found that there are a lot of cleaners which don’t work very well and only a handful that do. This article is going to show you which is the top registry cleaner software.

In this article, I am going to show you what makes a good registry cleaner and what to look for in the top registry cleaner software.

The most important factor in finding the top registry cleaner is to see what kinds of errors it fixes. Many registry cleaners just clean out “empty” registry keys, which are small settings inside Windows that have no value assigned to them. These cleaners are not very effective at speeding up your PC or stopping errors, because they do not target and eliminate the problems that cause those issues.

Most computer woes, including pop-up errors, computer crashes & computer instability are actually caused by corrupt or invalid registry entries, which are a lot different and damaging than the empty keys. Most registry cleaners only clean out empty registry keys and leave the invalid ones, making them ineffective at doing anything to improve the performance of your PC. You need to make sure the cleaner you get is able to fix as many types of registry error possible. We’ve found the best cleaners can find as much as 15 different errors.

The second most important your cleaner should have is a backup facility. No matter how advanced or popular your registry tool is, none of them are perfect and some will accidentally delete the wrong files, making your PC run with more errors. Even the best registry cleaners can cause accidental damage to your PC, and its a problem which isn’t the fault of the registry tool most of the time. In fact, on most occasions – accidental registry damage is caused by the registry being damaged by a previously installed program that mixed it all up.

The backup facility will restore the registry to the condition it was before any scan, meaning that if any problems do arise, you’ve got a perfect way to stop the issues and restore the integrity of your PC.

These are just two features you need to look for in the top registry cleaner. These are the most important, but there are several other features which define cleaners as being highly effective and reliable. To find the best tools, you should first look around for some reviews or recommendations on the best cleaners. This will show you what other people think is the best registry tool and will instantly eliminate most of the poor quality cleaners that are out there. After that, you can use the demo edition of the tool to scan your PC and reveal the number of errors that are on it. If you do this and it finds 500+ errors, then it’s advised you let the cleaner fix any of the issues that are on there.

From our experience, the Top Registry Cleaner is a tool called RegCure.

The demand for computer registry cleaners is piercing high. This is a software product that is prevalent today because of the rising computer troubles and tough viruses that everybody wants to get rid of.

The demand for computer registry cleaners is piercing high. This is a software product that is prevalent today because of the rising computer troubles and tough viruses that everybody wants to get rid of. Who would have wanted to have these anyway? Nobody wants to be mess up and later finding yourself outdated of any available resources online.

The more downloads and free software installed on our computers, the more they are prone of virus infections, the more our computer registry gets cluttered, and the more they are getting corrupted! This is why the increasing demand for these computer registry cleaners is not a surprise anymore.

While the demand for this software product does not surprise anybody else, unfortunately, a scaring fact behind this is that there are some computer registry cleaners that can even carry more damage than good. Many are still caught unaware that there are some registry cleaners available online that can worsen the trouble. This becomes a shock, right? This is really it for those who are not careful enough to select a reputable product. Now here are some tips that can help you to get rid of those spy registry cleaners.

Beware of Unsolicited Emails!

Take note that there are some manufacturers that are very assertive in offering computer registry cleaners. They may send out unsolicited emails and pop-ups for advertising their software product. Be careful to identify any scams from here.

Be Vigilant!

Please be aware that there are some registry cleaners which are purposely designed to infect your personal computers. Some are even intentionally made to spy your activities online and could cause to slow down your computers and totally break down. Be cautious enough to review product details before purchasing them. You can do this by reading first some product reviews available so you may have, at least, a background on what the software product is all about and what are the comments of the previous buyers and users. Take a look on some forums which are normally present on the product website. From this you may be able to identify how reputable the product is. Always be vigilant before staking your money to buy a computer registry.

Get More Information!

While you may be reading the forums on the product website, it is also good that you must be well-informed on the functions of computer registry cleaners. Gather more information in terms of computer registry cleaners. This is a good key to identify which one is a spy product and which one is not. Try to consider some questions before purchasing a registry cleaner. Here are some points that you may consider:

1. Compatibility
Ask if the software product is compatible with your operating system. Of course, you will be buying a registry cleaner to fix your computer registry and not to damage it, instead.

2. Product Credibility
Try to assess if the manufacturing company or the organization offering the product is reliable enough. You can also evaluate the credibility of the product through any reviews and testimonials which prove that their product really works.

3. Software backup
Please be informed that careless registry fixing can cause damages which may not be reversible so it is very important that the computer registry cleaner performs registry backups before it does the proper cleaning and fixing.

4. Product Warranty
You have the right to claim a product warranty. Please inquire the warranty terms or how long can they replace the product in cases of factory defects. Ask the extent of the warranty. Some does not offer replacements but only product repairs.

5. Customer Help and Support
Seek for continuous help and support. Look on how you can contact the manufacturer in cases of troubleshooting. You may be able to install the registry cleaner successfully but you don’t know what it takes in the long run. Ask for their emails and phones. Remember, customer help is one of the many factors that can influence the buyer to purchase the product.

The things mentioned above are just some of the many important tips that you have to consider in buying a computer registry cleaner. Relieve yourself from scams. Get rid of buying spy registry cleaners. Always keep in mind: Beware Be Vigilant, and Be Informed!

Learn more about the computer registry and registry cleaners! Download one of the best registry cleaner and do a free scan by going to this website: http://www.registryheal.com/
